No Matter How Much YOU Wander Away into the World You Have the Ability to Change.
We need conviction. A determination to follow a different path than what the world offers. We take up the conviction to change. To leave the pitfalls and mistakes of our lives. Let them go.
It requires a commitment of NOT GIVING UP. Keep trying. Try, Try. Try again and again. If you fall down, get back up.
When you realize fire reduces wood to ash you realize you have the capacity to burn off the mistakes.
Take off the choke collar that reminds you of your errors. Do not let the choke collar be your master.
Know that everyone, yes, everyone has the capacity to change. Do not think you have to excel at making errors. Review your intention and actions. Revise your habits. Avoid what hinders.
Listening to the Truth again and again is like plowing a hardened field where nothing seems to grow. Do not give up. Do not give in to the habits that bind you to the world.
You need knowledge. Understanding. Commitment. AND most of all intuition.
Remember your life was given to you - you had nothing to do with creating your existence. Remember you have chosen where you are, whatever that place might be. Go beyond your tendency to identify yourself as a somebody.
You are conditioned to cling to what you have been taught…what others have labeled you - how you label yourself as a somebody.
When you realize what you are clinging to, begin to let it go and take refuge in the Beloved.
Otherwise, you may find yourself taking refuge in:
The spirits in bottles of booze
Other people
Family/friends
Work
Selfishness
Stop all desires for rewards.
Give up desires.
Give up anger and hate.
Give up the delusion of the material world.
Put your mind on that which is eternal.
Here is an old Irish adage to repeat in the mind to keep you from doing stupid, foolish things.
A taste of the grass makes a thief of the beast.
Don’t give up. Keep going.
