Where is the Mind? Is the Mind in the Body? Is the Body in the Mind?
The Mind of the Great Sage of India is intimately communicated. Shitou
Let this mind be in you that was in Christ. New Testament.
The mind says there is nothing beyond the physical world…Rumi.
So…where is the mind? How do we become intimate with the Mind of the Great Sages?
We must go beyond the material world of the sense doors and wait for intuition to arise. When we know, without reason, that is intuition. We sense and perceive without the reason of the mind. This is discernment. An awareness. Intuition.
When we rely on intuition, we make no plans.
Life is spontaneous. Unrehearsed. Right where we are.
Concentrate on what arises.
Our confidence rises and we follow it without doubt.
We trust without doubt.
Nothing sticks to us because we let go of the obstacles and hindrances that the mind cherishes. When we believe the mirage of water on hot pavement, when we imagine what we fancy and follow an imaginary mindset, when we dream, and when we believe in the memories of our ancient, twisted karma we are trapped in the mental formations of the mind. These formations bring suffering.
Beyond the mind of belief and doubt, we meet where the mind is empty of any talk of ideas or language or one another. It is there that emptiness is. It is there that the senses are not calculating and reasoning. Measurements and calculations are insignificant in emptiness.
When the tendencies and hindrances are purified, we are free at last.
Our mind is the mind of the great sage, the Christ, the unborn, undying, immutable that goes beyond words, worries, and explanations. One mind, pure. Going beyond, going, going, gone beyond, completely gone beyond.
